For local moves we recommend booking 2–4 weeks out. For long-distance or interstate moves, 6–8 weeks provides the most scheduling flexibility and the best rates. Peak season (May through September) fills up quickly — if your dates fall in that window, start the quote process as early as possible.

A binding estimate locks in your price based on the inventory and services you disclosed at the time of quoting — you won't pay more as long as nothing changes. A non-binding estimate is a best-guess that can be adjusted based on actual weight on moving day. MC Movers primarily offers binding estimates so there are no surprises on delivery.

Every interstate move MC Movers performs includes basic released-value protection as required by federal law. Customers can upgrade to full-value protection for items that warrant it — we'll walk you through both options during booking so you can make an informed choice.
